Your donation today to the Wesley House Community Center is an investment in the lives of people who truly need help from all of us; sometimes on an emergency level, sometimes on a long-term basis and, always on a spiritual level. Your return on your wise investment will be magnified as the Wesley staff carefully and prayerfully utilize all the resources of our six agencies toward restoring and rebuilding broken lives. Your investment will encourage and empower people to become productive and balanced, rather than simply enabling them to maintain their lives in desperation…living paycheck to paycheck, or suffering as broken victims.
Just how will your donation help? Do you know that 4 out of every 5 dollars donated to Wesley House goes directly to the people in need of assistance. The other dollar is put aside for the maintenance of the facility….not to fatten salaries! Most of our salaries are funded with education and victim assistance grants.
Did you know that $300 a week will feed all 34 of our pre-school children two meals a day and an afternoon snack? It takes an average of $600 a month to heat/cool our Child Advocacy Center, $25 will provide a school uniform for a little child, $400 provides maintenance prescription medicine for 24 patients with chronic illnesses, $15 pays for a rape kit, $2,000 provides prevention materials to 5,000 children every year…you get the idea. These are just a few of our smaller needs. Our big need is to expand our facilities in a big way! We are bursting at the seams and every room and space is being used for 2 or 3 things!
I want to encourage you to be creative in your giving…whether it be through living gifts in your estate, a memorial or honor gift for a loved one, naming a program after a valued friend or family member….we are open to it and delight in assisting you in any way we can.
